Tesol/Tefl Admission Requirements, Procedures and Course Fees

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
 
FOR NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS (Students from USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand)
 
1. Must be a graduate of High School  or Level 12 or International Baccalaureate Degree evidenced by a High School or IB diploma and/or transcript of records (scanned copy of the original).
2. 2X2 coloured ID picture
3. Fill up Enrollment Form Online thru the website or at the school.
 
FOR FILIPINOS AND SOUTH AFRICANS
1. Must be a college graduate of any Four-Year Bachelors Degree Course evidenced by a Transcript of Records (scanned copy of the original).
Must be proficient in the English language, both oral and written  (diagnostic tests to be made if the admission officer feels it is necessary)
2. 2X2 coloured ID picture
3. Fill up Enrollment Form Online thru the website or at the school.
 
FOR NON-NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS SUCH AS KOREANS, JAPANESE, TAIWANESE, THAIS, VIETNAMESE, MALAYSIANS, LATINOS AND OTHER NATIONALITIES
1. Must be a college graduate of any Four-Year Bachelors Degree Course evidenced by a Transcript of Records (scanned copy).
2. Mininum passing score from any of the following English Proficiency Tests results (authenticated copy of the original):
TOEFL  - Paper Based Test                -  460
TOEFL  - Computer Based Test         – 150
TOEFL  - iBT (Internet Based Test)   -   68 (but must get a score in Speaking
                 portion of at least 24)
IELTS   - 5.5 (but must get a score in Speaking portion of at least 6.0)
TOIEC  - 750 with TSE - 70
 
(DIAGNOSTICE TESTS ARE TO BE MADE WHEN THE ADMISSION OFFICER FEELS IT IS NECESSARY.)

COURSE FEES:

Since the Philippines is a developing country, our FEES for the course are socialized as follows:
Online Training: (equivalent to 120 hours- International Standard requirement)
     - For Filipinos    - Php 9,990 pesos (with tutor support) 
     - For Foreigners   - US$ 250 (with tutor support) 
Onsite Training:
     - For Filipinos  - Php 15,990 pesos
     - For Foreigners   - US$ 600
Tesol -  Combo Training:
     - For Filipinos  - Php 12,990 pesos (with tutor support)
     - For Foreigners - US$   400 (with tutor support)
 
ACCOMMODATION COST:
Ranges from US$ 400 to US$ 600 per month per student per month depending on the accommodation plus electricity fee of US$50 per month per person.  INCLUSION OF ACCOMMODATION COST:  Fully airconditioned room (shared accommodation/dormitory type), three (3) full meals a day (Filipino foods only), free laundry, free housekeeping services (change linen - once a week) and free internet access (wi-fi). Student has the option to arrange accommodation for himself/herself other than those provided by the school.  Students will be accommodated at the school's guest house - THE HARVEST GUESTHOUSE.  
 
ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES AND POLICY FOR TESOL/TEFL COURSE:
 
1. Applicant fills up TESOL Enrollment Form (Online through the website or Onsite in the school)
2. Submit  the abovementioned admission requirements to the school either via :

       attachment form (.doc type) Greetings to: “The Admission Director”
       or
    •  Post Mail, LBC, Fastpak, FedEx or DHL to the following School Address:

3. Pay related training fees in full to the school through the following manner:

c) Or you may pay personally at the school through the school Cashier if you are residing in Cebu City , Philippines.
 
FOR ONLINE/DISTANCE TRAINING APPLICANTS:
4. Once the enrollee’s payment is confirmed, the first four (4) modules of the course materials and instructions on the mechanics of the course will be sent to his/her e-mail address via e-mail by his/her assigned tutor. There are around twenty (20) modules. The student is expected to study the course modules diligently and answer the worksheets honestly.  Any unsatisfactory worksheets will be a cause for revision and resubmission. The student is expected to submit to his/her assigned tutor via e-mail his/her answered worksheets everytime he/she finished two (2) modules.
 
The course can be finished within two (2) weeks or less, one (1) month or two (2) months if the student chooses to. The pace is up to the student.However, the student is to complete the Online/Distance Course Training within six (6) months from receipt of the first batch of modules otherwise the fee will be forfeited and he/she will re-enroll again and pay the same amount if ever he/she will continue the course after six (6) months.  The  course worksheets should be answered online through the internet via e-mail.  The student should see to it that he/she indicates his/her complete mailing address, e-mail address, telephone no., mobile phone no. in the Enrollment Form.
 
OTHER MATTERS:
5. Transfer from one type of TESOL training to another is strictly not allowed. Example: From On-site Training to Online/Distance Course Training or vice versa.
6.  All fees paid to the School by the student are non-refundable.
7.  At the end of the course, the participant will be issued a TESOL/TEFL Certificate; it will be sent to the participant’s address free of airfreight charge if it is within the Philippines.  For TESOL/TEFL Certificate that will be sent outside the Philippines,  the actual airfreight cost shall be shouldered by the participant.
