Admission

1. Parent/Guardian fills up Enrolment Form online through the school’s website at www.hcsinternational.org by clicking “ENROLL NOW”.  Enrollment Form may also be manually filled up at the school’s physical campus and submit  to the Admission Officer personally.

2. Parents answer/fill-up Parents Interview Form (PIF) (download here)  and submit to the Admission Officer either personally at the office or via e-mail to [email protected]. Admission Officer decides whether to schedule Parents and Student for interview either personally or via Skype.com or not

3. Submit the following:

3.1.  Academic Progress Record or Report Card from the previous school (except Nursery level). This document must be written in English or Filipino if not, it should be translated to English and duly notarized. (Scanned copy first through e-mail for preliminary evaluation and later on the original copy).

3.2. Birth Certificate or Family/Household Register (duly translated in English and notarized for non-native English speaking international students). – Scanned copy or photocopy of the original.

3.3. Two (2) pieces  2X2 ID coloured picture and two (2) pieces 1X1 ID coloured picture

3.4. Recommendation form or letter from previous school or Certification of Good Moral Character.

3.5. Photocopy of Passport for international student/foreign student.

3.6. Special Study Permit (SSP) for international/foreign student below 18 years old (the school wil assist the parent/student on this)

 

4. School admission officer informs student through the parent/guardian a notice of acceptance either orally, in writing or via e-mail.
5. Student takes diagnostic tests. Testing fee is Php 400.00 pesos.
6. Student or parent/guardian pays School Fees to the School Cashier personally or through the school’s bank account by way of online deposit or fund transfer as follows:

FOR NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS (Students from USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand)

1. Must be a graduate of High School  or Level 12 or International Baccalaureate Degree evidenced by a High School or IB diploma and/or transcript of records (scanned copy of the original).

2. 2X2 coloured ID picture

3. Fill up Enrollment Form Online thru the website or at the school.

FOR FILIPINOS AND SOUTH AFRICANS

1. Must be a college graduate of any Four-Year Bachelors Degree Course evidenced by a Transcript of Records (scanned copy of the original).

Must be proficient in the English language, both oral and written  (diagnostic tests to be made if the admission officer feels it is necessary)

3. Fill up Enrollment Form Online thru the website or at the school.

FOR NON-NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS SUCH AS KOREANS, JAPANESE, TAIWANESE, THAIS, VIETNAMESE, MALAYSIANS, LATINOS AND OTHER NATIONALITIES

1. Must be a college graduate of any Four-Year Bachelors Degree Course evidenced by a Transcript of Records (scanned copy).

2. Mininum passing score from any of the following English Proficiency Tests results (authenticated copy of the original):

  • TOEFL  – Paper Based Test                –  460
  • TOEFL  – Computer Based Test         – 150
  • TOEFL  – iBT (Internet Based Test)   –   68 (but must get a score in Speaking portion of at least 24)
  • IELTS   – 5.5 (but must get a score in Speaking portion of at least 6.0)
  • (DIAGNOSTICE TESTS ARE TO BE MADE WHEN THE ADMISSION OFFICER FEELS IT IS NECESSARY.)

2. 2X2 coloured ID picture

3. Fill up Enrollment Form Online thru the website or at the school.

1) Prospective student fills up Enrollment Form ONLINE through this school’s website:  www.hcsinternational.org  by clicking “ENROLL NOW” on the left side of this page, then fill up the necessary information and data and click ‘Submit’.
2) Submit the following requirements via e-mail to the Admission Office upon enrollment
2.1  1 pc. 2X2 ID coloured picture (scanned copy or hard copy)
2.2  Photocopy of Passport for international student
3) School admission officer gives student a notice of acceptance either orally, in writing or via e-mail.
4) Student  pays School Fees to the School Cashier or through the school’s bank account via fund transfer at least 1 month before expected departure date or earlier:

(Please inform the school via e-mail of the deposit/transfer made for confirmation. The student or sender shall shoulder all correspondent bank charges. Hence, sender should ask first his/her bank of possible bank charges and any correspondent bank charges in sending the amount via fund transfer. The amount of money to be credited or received by the school’s bank must be the exact amount. Official Receipt will be issued later. Please keep a copy of your deposit slip or transfer slip.)
5) School representative meets the ESL student at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport and bring him/her directly to the Homestay host or the school’s Guest House or Homestay Host.
6) Student secures Special Study Permit (SSP) from local immigration office within one week of study in the school. The school will assist student to secure his/her SSP from the local immigration office for a separate processing fee of Php 2,880.00  plus around Php 7,040.00 for SSP filing and registration fees with the Bureau of Immigration.
1. Parent/Guardian reads first the article, “Before You Decide to Homeschool your Child.”
2. Parent/Guardian fills up Enrollment Form online through the school’s website.  Enrollment Form maybe filled up also at the school (onsite) and  submit it to the Admission Office personally.)
3. Parent/guardian fills up and submit Parents Interview Form (PIF). At the discretion of the Admission Officer, interviews Parent/Guardian and/or Student (either personally in the office, via e-mail or via www.Skype.com).
4. Submit the following:

5.  Parent-Tutor agrees and signs “Mechanics, Procedures and Grading Policy  and sends a scanned copy of the signed original via e-mail.

6. Parent-Tutor fills up and signs MAPE/MAPEH Placement Sheet.
(NOTE:  The abovementioned admission requirements must be submitted first initially in scanned copy to the admission officer via e-mail for preliminary evaluation purposes.   Appropriate original/hard copies should later on be submitted to the admission officer of the school via air courier or in person to make the enrollment official if the parents/students are outside of Cebu City.)
7. School admission officer informs student through the parent/guardian a notice of acceptance either orally, in writing or via e-mail
8. Student or parent/guardian pays School Fees to the School Cashier or through the school’s bank account as follows:

9. Student takes diagnostic tests.
10. Student attends orientation sessions with his/her assigned tutor/teacher or adviser through Skype.com
 
ENROLLMENT PERIOD AND START OF CLASS:
Generally, enrollment period of distance learning/homeschooling is anytime during the year.  Classes start every Monday.  School days are Monday to Friday.
Though we abide by the above general rule, we however, encourage the parents or students to enroll before the beginning of the normal school year of the country where he/she is a citizen.
