Awards and Recognition

Hwa Chong International School, Singapore, November 21-23, 2007, Singapore

The school received a Presidential Trophy from no less than the Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for achieving the Overall Championship plus cash awards from Home Radio. The competition/elimination lasted for 6 months and was participated by different schools in Cebu City and Cebu Province. Awarding ceremony was held in Ayala Entertainment Center, Cebu City, January 2002.

participated by more than 200 students all over Cebu belonging to top 10% of the graduating high school class of different schools in Cebu (around 200 schools) – Sponsored by the Dept. of Education, Kiwanis Club and Rhine Marketing Corporation. Awarding was held in Montebello Villa Hotel, Cebu City, April 2000 – Participant: Miss Bliss Roselle Guinarez, 4th Year High School.

WASHINGTON D.C. to represent the Philippines in the Global Young Leaders Conference to be held in Washington D.C. and New York. The CYLC is an organization duly recognized by the WHITE HOUSE no less than the US President George Bush, November 2002.

OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

(product of HCSI from Grade 1 to Grade 6, now in Mandaue Science High), last February 14, 2009 where mostly, all answers were to be mentally computed and orally given by the contestants,  selected students from more than 20 public & private schools joined the elimination written math exam and only 8 schools qualified, where mandaue science high got the 2nd highest score. Jon and another rep from their school represented their school last Feb 14, 2009 for the final round and garnered the highest score where the second placer was 14 points away from them.

Director of Harvest Christian School International (HCSI) for being elected as the President of CEBU CITY PRIVATE SCHOOLS ADMINISTRATORS’ ASSOCIATION, INC. (CCPSAA), an association of private schools of Cebu City (with around 160+ member schools) duly recognized by Dep Ed for 3 consecutive years (2008-2010) and re-elected for another 3-year term, 2011-1013.
